I was lucky enough to accompany the Cirque Shanghai dancers as they opened the Chicago Sister Cities Festival earlier today in Daley Plaza. Most of the morning was spent passing out discount mini-flyers and circulating the plaza getting people psyched to see the free snippet. And man it was worth it — the plaza was packed with people itching to see the show. I took some footage of the contortion acts and the ballet segment (CAUTION: intense balancing act included) while hanging out with the performers on the sidelines. Overall, it made for an exciting Monday morning… definitely cured my case of the Mondays!
