It’s back! Chicago Dancing Festival returns to Millennium Park later this month, Aug. 18-22. This celebration of dance takes place in the heart of Chicago at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion… for FREE!

Big name dance companies from all over the world – like American Ballet Theatre, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Houston Ballet – are coming to our Windy City to share their talents with us, again I repeat, for FREE!

AND for those of us bun-heads and dance fanatics out there, the Festival will also include a  lecture/demonstration hosted by Ashley Wheater, director of the Joffrey Ballet of Chicago, with rehearsal performances of three pas de deux featured in this year’s Fesitval… as well as three performances of Twyla Tharp’s interactive “The One Hundreds: 1-50” by DanceWorks Chicago throughout the day on Saturday, Aug. 22  preceding the closing Festival performance under the stars that night in Millennium Park.

Chicago is clearly the place to be for dance this August!
